Toshiba has a high market share worldwide in the photocoupler category in 2010 and 2011. Toshiba photocoupler products are very well-received all over the world in various applications such as industrial, digital consumer and information systems which demand higher performance while utilizing less power in smaller space. A photocoupler which is used for isolation purpose while maintaining signal integrity, needs to meet these new challenges. The numerous types of Toshiba photocouplers rise to meet those demands and are being used by customers in home appliance, factory automation, office equipment and renewable energy markets. In the example being shown on this slide, an inverter circuit requires higher voltage support in less space. Toshiba has gate drive photocouplers with high peak current and small packages to support such a requirement. In addition, Toshiba has a great line up of high speed logic output photocouplers with 125°C operating temperature for communication use.
