The Si86xx family is a high performance, wide channel count series of unidirectional and bidirectional isolators supporting up to 5 kV and reinforced isolation ratings. This family of digital isolators features a high data rate (150 Mbps) across a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125 ºC. Six integrated channels with high integration are featured. In bidirectional isolation Skyworks Solutions offers not only two channel bidirectional isolators, but also two channel bidirectional devices with additional channels of unidirectional isolation. This is useful for alerts and interrupts that accompany a typical I2C data bus. The reinforced isolation (5 kV) rated devices have working voltages up to 1200 V. They exhibit a greater than sixty year lifetime at that voltage, which is longer than anything offered at this time by the competition. Additionally, Skyworks Solutions isolators provide good noise and ESD immunity, which are important in noisy, industrial environments. Emissions, in particular, are often regulated and a maximum emission specification for the system must be met. The Si86xx family has been shown by third party testing to have up to 20 dB lower emissions than the competing digital isolators.
