The DRV3000 SafeTI product family is a family of motor drivers that are designed and developed specifically to support the development of automotive functional safety applications like electric power steering, braking, and transmission. This family consists of gate drivers for brushless DC and brushed DC motors that have unique performance requirements such as high current and low torque ripple. Since the DRV3000 family of products was developed specifically for applications requiring functional safety, they feature sophisticated protection, monitoring, and diagnostic functions required by those applications. The DRV3000 products also include the SafeTI design packages. These packages include safety manuals, safety analysis, and safety metrics that system developers require when developing functional safety applications.
