With push-in connectors, solid and ferruled wires are simply pushed in to the device and held in place by the spring’s clamping force. Stranded wires are inserted by depressing the actuating button and then inserting the wire. Removal for all wire types is accomplished by depressing the actuator button and pulling the wire out. No compromises are required in return for the ease of installation since push-in connectors yield a higher pull-out force than a tension clamp connection and only 20% less than a screw connection.
