Tiva C Series ARM MCUs

Texas Instruments provides a broad portfolio of connected Cortex-M4 microcontrollers with Tiva C Series ARM MCUs . Designers who migrate to the Tiva C Series MCUs benefit from a balance between the floating-point performance needed to create highly responsive mixed-signal applications and the low power architecture required to enable increasingly aggressive power budgets. Tiva C Series MCUs are supported by TivaWare™ for C Series software, designed specifically for those customers who want to get started easily, write production-ready code quickly, and minimize their overall cost of software ownership. TivaWare for C Series software gives developers a huge jump start by providing a free, royalty-free software package that includes a peripheral driver library, graphics library, USB library, code examples, and much more.

ARM Cortex-M4-based MCUs

The Tiva C Series TM4C123x MCUs offer connectivity and sensor aggregation, along with tools and software for development.

Features and Benefits:

  • Differentiate applications using targeted performance headroom with ARM Cortex-M4 floating-point core, operating at up to 80 MHz.
  • Support mixed-signal applications with integrated high-performance TI analog – two high-performance 12-bit analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and three comparators.
  • Eliminate performance tradeoffs with 12-bit ADC accuracy, achievable at the full 1 MSPS rating without any hardware averaging.
  • Enable longer battery life and support constrained power budgets with low-power – standby currents as low as 1.6 µA.
  • Communicate with on-chip connectivity options, including USB (host, device and On-The-Go), UARTs, I2C, SSI/SPI and CAN.
  • Support high-endurance non-volatile storage of user interface or configuration parameters to reduce system cost using integrated EEPROM.
  • Optimize system power efficiency with TI's extensive portfolio of analog power management products.
  • Address varying applications needs with device options up to 256KB flash and 32KB SRAM.
