Nisshinbo Micro Devices’ NT1191 GNSS wideband low noise amplifier (LNA) is designed for multi-GNSS receiver applications. This LNA features good gain flatness and low noise figure (NF) in the entire GNSS band from 1164 MHz to 1610 MHz. It supports a wide supply voltage range of 1.5 V to 5.5 V, ensuring flexible designs. The standby function contributes to reducing current consumption. Only one external input-matching inductor is required. An integrated ESD protection device on each port has achieved excellent ESD robustness. The wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C is suitable for various applications. The package size is 1.6 mm x 1.6 mm with a wettable flank to optimize it for automated optical inspection (AOI).

The primary purpose of a LNA is to amplify a weak low-power signal without significantly degrading its signal-to-noise ratio. Regular amplifiers often introduce some additional noise to the system. By using an electronic LNA, this noise can be substantially reduced.

The NT1191 is specially designed for high-precision GNSS receiver applications, such as GPS, GLONASS, COMPASS/BeiDou, and Galileo. The targeted applications include car/personal navigation systems, dashboard cameras, tracking devices, drones, automotive antennas, base stations, and GNSS modules.
