The LX series from Hirose is an ultra-low-profile interface connector system with a mounting height of only 2.0 mm when mounted on the PCB. Use of a metal shell and advanced plastics guarantee that fully-mated connectors will withstand 30 N max force applied on the plug in any direction. The connectors can withstand up to 5,000 mating cycles without any degradations of the electrical or mechanical performance. There is a tactile sensation when mating that confirms the complete mated condition. Protection of the circuit is assured by having the two contacts at each end of the receptacle protrude forward by 0.5 mm, with an electrical wipe of 1.45 mm. The electrical wipe of the remaining contacts is 0.95 mm. Connectors will not be damaged when angled or reverse plug insertion is attempted.
