THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota, USA - 2011 年 02 月 24 日

Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation, recognized by design engineers as having the industry's broadest selection of electronic components available for immediate shipment, is set to sponsor Engineering Radio, a series of live webcasts and podcasts produced by Penton Electronics Group.

Hosted by Joe Desposito, Editor-in-Chief of Electronic Design magazine, Engineering Radio is a weekly radio broadcast dedicated to providing engineers with the latest news in the industry. The first live webcast will broadcast February 28, 2011 at 2 p.m. ET. The show will feature interviews with Bob Pease, analog guru and long-time Electronic Design columnist, and Bill Wong, editor at Electronic Design.

In the first interview, Desposito will discuss Pease's analog-savvy columns and how they relate to his passion for hiking, driving, flying, military strategy, and more.

Discussion with Bill Wong will cover LCDs, the engineering color debate, and LED backlighting. Desposito and Wong will also discuss image enhancements via digital processing.

"Digi-Key is becoming a steadfast source of not only electronic components, but of important information regarding the newest technologies in this industry — Engineering Radio's podcasts will help bring this information to the masses in an entertaining way. When Digi-Key supports these podcasts, our company can help engineers make informed decisions about the products they need to complete projects in their respective fields," said Tony Harris, Digi-Key's chief marketing officer (CMO).
