THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minnesota, USA - 2010 年 04 月 28 日
Electronic components distributor Digi-Key Corporation announced today it will host the PURE Lighting Technology Symposium at one of Las Vegas, Nevada's most renowned nightclubs, PURE Nightclub Caesars Palace. The event will take place from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 and features panelists from four of the lighting industry's top suppliers.
During Digi-Key's PURE Lighting Technology Symposium, industry leaders will participate in a panel discussion focusing on lighting lifetimes and reliability. The theme for the panel discussion is "How real is a 50,000-hour lifetime for LEDs?" Panelists will discuss the role of each of the major components in lighting reliability and lifetimes. Panelists include Mark McClear, Cree; Tomi Kuntize, LEDIL; Geoffrey Potter, Texas Instruments; and Dr. Rich Hill, Laird Technologies.
The symposium will feature displays, discussions, and innovations in the lighting industry from some of Digi-Key's authorized lighting suppliers, including Cree, LEDIL, Texas Instruments, Laird Technologies, Lumex and Seoul Semiconductor. Participating suppliers will also conduct product demonstrations during the event. There will be a social hour, a panel discussion, and an audience question-and-answer segment after the panel discussion. A networking reception will take place immediately following the question-and-answer segment.
"This is Digi-Key's first Lighting Technology Symposium, and we believe it will be a valuable resource for lighting engineers and for those interested in the lighting industry," said Dave Doherty, vice president of semiconductor product. "The symposium panelists are respected leaders in the lighting industry. We believe the panel discussion about lighting reliability and life cycles will be a great resource for everyone who attends Digi-Key's PURE Lighting Technology Symposium in May."
